Kennedy’s Children

Promethean Theatre Ensemble

By Robert Patrick

Role: Rona

Where were you when it happened? One rainy day several years after a tragedy that paralyzed the nation and shocked the world, a group of individuals are drawn to an urban bar. While they are deeply isolated from each other due to their rich inner lives and personal histories, each of them has been sculpted by a time of great turmoil into one of Kennedy’s Children.

about the project

new experiences

The research involved helped us delve into the tumultuous time of the 60s and early 70s, the cultures of theatre, war, and politics, and the dissolusionment of those who hoped the revolution of the 60s would change much, much more than it had. The technical challenges came from the fact that the 6 characters in this play never spoke to each other – the play consisted entirely of monologues (or no speech at all, as the bartender doesn’t utter a word the entire play).
